Dr. Maria Batista is an associate dentist at Smile Source Atlanta East, providing comprehensive dental care with a focus on patient comfort, long-term oral health, and individualized treatment. Her journey in dentistry is rooted in service — she proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years before continuing her education and clinical training. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University, and her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

To further broaden her scope of care, Dr. Batista pursued advanced training in dental implants and oral surgery, allowing her to offer patients a fuller range of treatments under one roof.

For Dr. Batista, dentistry is about people first. She genuinely cares about how patients feel — not just about their teeth —and takes the time to listen, explain, and put people at ease, especially those who feel anxious about dental visits. Her warm, gentle approach has made her a trusted provider for patients of all ages, including her youngest patients, as she has experience in pediatric dentistry.

Proud of her Dominican heritage, Dr. Batista is fluent in Spanish and enjoys being able to connect with patients in the language they are most comfortable with, helping make every visit feel personal and welcoming.

Outside of the office, Dr. Batista enjoys playing with her pup, Mia, and spending time with family and friends.
